Woman said, “Help me,” to Amazon driver as he delivered packages in Florida. Then, authorities arrested him…

After an Amazon delivery driver saw a woman in distress and called 911, authorities charged a Florida man with felony violence.

According to an arrest document obtained by PEOPLE, a deputy from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to a residence at about 4:45 p.m. local time on Friday, March 28.

The Amazon driver had contacted 911 to say that while delivering to the residence, the woman who answered the door murmured, “Help me.”

When the deputy arrived, he noticed the lady — who “appeared in distress and had obvious red marks on her neck,” according to the affidavit — sitting on the front porch with 43-year-old Frank Mandolini.

The affidavit states that the woman told the deputy she and Mandolini, who were married and living together, fought after she accused him of using his phone and other devices to “talk to other women or watch p*rn.”

Mandolini reportedly grabbed the woman’s neck, dragged her to the floor, and choked her. The lady informed the deputy that she had “lost consciousness and nearly blacked out,” and Mandolini ultimately released her.

According to the affidavit, Mandolini eventually testified to the deputy that he “did ch*ke her but did not cause her to lose her breath,” but he denied the accusation.

Court filings indicate that a child also resides in the residence, and the Florida Department of Children and Families received notification of the incident.

According to court documents, Mandolini, who had previously faced a domestic violence abuse conviction, was charged with one count of felony battery by strangulation. On March 31, they brought him to jail and released him on a $30,000 bail.

Court documents indicate that Mandolini will face an arraignment on June 5. The court also instructed him not to make any contact with the victim.
