This blends so well with both of their great ranges.
You might be forgiven for thinking this was a duet between Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson.
“Shallow” is a song from the film A Star Is Born. A film in which Gaga starred alongside Bradley Cooper. Gaga co-wrote it with Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando, and Mark Ronson.
Gaga co-produced the song with Benjamin Rice.
The film features three renditions of the now-iconic power song. The lyrics describe each character’s viewpoint and existence through the eyes of the other.

Gaga penned it from her character Ally’s POV. Cooper’s character soon catches on, sharing lyrics and melodies with his co-star, giving rise to the duet that’s inspired so many cover versions.
Now everyone knows that Gaga is a vocal Goliath.
Kelly Clarkson is one of the most varied vocalists out there. She’s one to make jaws drop and heads turn as she opens her mouth.
This mashup between two videos of both celebs performing the same song really works incredibly nicely.
Put together by YouTuber Blighght, the mixing, and harmonies fit nicely into place, with both female vocalists offering an amazing exhibition of vocal power.

Of course, Gaga’s is the original, but Kelly, as usual, performs it so effortlessly.
“For a moment there, I thought that Kelly and Lady Gaga were performing this together simultaneously. Then I discovered that you had combined two separate performances. Really good job! These two can sing!” says a viewer.
Not everyone knows this, but Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
She’s a tremendous star, frequently controversial for her dress taste and statements. But all that goes away when she sings. For real.
In fact, as quirky and charming as her smash songs are, it’s in power ballads that Gaga gets to demonstrate her amazingly strong voice. It’s got an edge to it, almost like Stevie Nicks, while preserving her lovely pop tone.

Kelly Clarkson won the inaugural season of American Idol.
She’s obviously been around the music industry, dazzling record executives, fellow musicians, and fans all around the world with her incredible range and control.
Gaga’s dark, almost guttural tone at lower notes all the way up to her alto-to soprano manner surely works for the song. Kelly is herself a soprano, able to get as high as she likes without straining.
If you watch The Kelly Clarkson Show, then you know how she regularly does versions of other songs.
It’s crazy to imagine that those were songs by other artists since Kelly is so brilliant; it truly sounds like her own work.

And her fans know it.
“Kelly is the most versatile singer of all the powerhouse females of her generation… “I really enjoy how she can go from silly and amusing in person to fully locked in on stage,” says another viewer.
“Shallow” isn’t exactly simple to sing either.
You’ve got to have tremendous range and control while unleashing your voice’s strength. So between Gaga and Clarkson, who do you think did it better?
This duet has to happen in real life! Watch and listen below!
