The controversy surrounding this competitor and her glittering ankle bracelet has left “Dancing with the Stars” fans outraged

Fans of Dancing with the Stars were infuriated when a dancer wearing a bedazzled bracelet on her right ankle gave a drab cha cha. What appeared to be a harmless accessory had tremendous significance.

“I’ve reinvented myself multiple times,” the candidate told the silent crowd, defending herself bravely in the face of criticism, adding, “This time, I’m embracing my role as a ballroom dancer.”

When Ezra Sosa made his debut as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars in season 33, he encountered a big obstacle.

Sosa responded, “She did ballet and modern,” when asked about his partner’s prior training. “I don’t think she did,” the Latin dancer said, laughing.

Millions of people throughout the world are skeptical of his partner’s assertions, and Sosa is no exception.

During her stay in New York, the 33-year-old lady deceived several socialites, as well as a number of prestigious banks and hotels, by posing as a wealthy German heiress. Six charges of grand larceny found her guilty.

The Russian-born Anna Sorokin, better known as Anna Delvey, who served as the model for the Netflix movie Inventing Anna, is Sosa’s partner.

Delvey became well-known after her criminal spree—defrauding people, banks, and hotels—was turned into a Netflix series, in which Julia Garner played the lead character with extraordinary skill.

She was freed from jail in 2021 due to good conduct after being found guilty on several charges of grand larceny in 2019. However, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained her and placed her under home confinement after she broke the restrictions of her visa.

Since she is now considered a flight risk, she fights deportation back to Germany, her home country, while wearing an ankle monitor.

The convicted fraudster caused a tremendous deal of uproar on September 17 when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars’ season premiere.

After introducing herself as a “fashionista and entrepreneur,” Delvey performed a cha-cha performance with Sosa to the song “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter.

Delvey accessorized her suit with a glittery ankle monitor, while the pair sported a vivid ombre combo in pink, purple, blue, and yellow hues.

Delvey explained her surprise accessory during the program, saying, “I overstayed my visa because I was in jail, so it’s kind of hard to leave,” with a laugh.

“I did fulfill my sentence.I have changed my identity several times, and this time I will be a ballroom dancer.

The judges expressed their surprise at her performance and praised her efforts.

Derek Hough said, “I’m kind of, like, lost for words a little bit.” “You truly possess the ability to be a very talented dancer. You truly do, really.I was quite taken aback.

Bruno Tonioli made his comments more lighthearted by saying, “Reinventing Anna … again! And it may be effective!

Carrie Ann Inaba, meanwhile, offered her thoughts on the strange quiet in the studio.

“I simply have something to say. The vibe in the room changed as you emerged onto the dance floor, Inaba said. I’m not for or against whatever you’ve done, but I can understand that this is frightening for you, so I just want to say let’s give it a chance. However, you are dancing here.

Many condemned her “miserable face” and “robotic” manner, while others found the ankle monitor infuriating.

“Ankle monitors don’t stand out. On the DWTS Instagram page, a netizen said, “She shouldn’t be on this show.” Another person wrote, “We shouldn’t give felons any sort of spotlight.”

A third user criticized Delvey’s title, saying, “Oof. ‘Fashionista and entrepreneur?'” No, she is an offender.

Another fan commented, “How about we glamorize an ankle bracelet?” on the DWTS Facebook page. I’m repulsed.

Others expressed their displeasure with the choice to cast Delvey.Another user said, “She’s the reason I’m not watching the season, and I’m a devoted watcher,” while another said, “Sorry, but I’m disappointed in ABC for giving her this platform.” I just do not approve of the “glamorization” of a thief.

“Good job, DWTS,” said another online user. The selection of Anna Delvey for this season was a mistake. It was a brilliant idea to adorn her ankle monitor and serve as a role model for others. Let’s face it, she is a criminal!

“The dancers should be role models for the viewers,” a fourth reviewer remarked. I will no longer watch the show because of this foul flavor.
