Grace VanDerWaal, a 12-year-old girl with a beautiful voice, earned the million USD award in the final on September 14.

Grace VanDerWaal fell into tears after being announced as the winner. The girl stated to MC Nick Cannon that she was crying happy tears. Judge Howie Mandel said, “You are very special.” “You are a shining star.”

Grace VanDerWaal of New York beat the magic performance trio The Clairvoyants, vocalist Sal Valentinetti, Brian Justin Crum, and Jon Derenbos.

On competition night, Grace VanDerWaal played the ukulele and sang her own song, I Don’t Know My Name. Her deep, husky voice and relaxed, natural demeanor prompted the audience and four judges to stand up and cheer.
