The nine-year-old vocalist Angelica Hale, who declared she aspired to “be the next Whitney Houston,” also made the judges speechless.
She said, “I want to be a superstar,” and the four judges promptly predicted that she would do just that after being astounded by the small girl’s amazingly powerful voice as she sang Rise Up from Andra Day.
Angelica’s parents also stated that it was a miracle their daughter was still alive to perform on stage since, at the age of four, when she got double pneumonia, both of her kidneys failed.
“Things were rapidly becoming really awful. Her mom admitted that they “felt we were going to lose her,” and that’s why they sent in a priest to talk to us, as her dad said.
Angelica gave her a hug backstage and told her, “Mother gave me her kidney; she’s my hero,” after she had received a donation from her mother, which had saved her life.
His dad argued, “It’s a miracle he’s here today.
When she came on stage, she joyfully announced, “I’m nine years old and recently found out I’m going to be a big sister. I soon warmed the judges up with my gorgeous grin.
Angelica is living proof that everyone may achieve their goals. She overcame enormous challenges to accomplish her goals, and her success serves as an example to anyone who has a passion and an objective.
The judges unanimously concurred, and host Tyra Banks told the parents of the child, “You have a star in your hands.”
