The tune is a soprano aria from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Gianni Schicchi (1918). In the opera, Lauretta sings the song following a fight with her father over Rinuccio, the boy she loves. Her father threatens to remove her from Rinuccio since he does not approve of the boy’s family.
It’s heady stuff. This tune is hardly something a typical nine-year-old would sing, but here we are. Victory Brinker truly astounds me.
Victory has flown through Season 16 of America’s Got Talent ever since she was on the stage. Following her initial audition, the young lady created history. For the first time on the show, the judges and host awarded a Golden Buzzer to all contestants.
Victory is now back for America’s Got Talent Finals, when one competitor will be named “Season 16 Winner” and receive $1 million in prize money, as well as the opportunity to perform in Las Vegas at the beautiful Luxor Hotel.
Watch Victory’s rendition of “O Mio Babbino Caro” and be astonished by this petite diva. To victory!
