Four young girls’ performance of the National Anthem and behind-the-scenes went viral

We’ve all heard the “Star Spangled Banner” sung before sporting events in a variety of ways, but here’s a unique rendition that I hope will inspire patriotism.

These four girls (Andi Kitten, Baylee Barrett, Blaire Elbert, and Madeline Powell) are part of the Cactus Cuties, a group that rose to prominence by singing before a Texas Tech basketball game. The ensuing video received over 11 million views on YouTube, making the girls a national phenomenon.

These ladies range in age from 8 to 13 years old, and their moniker “Cactus Cuties” comes from the Cactus Theater in Lubbock, Texas. They are all Terri Caldwell Music students, and Cami Caldwell organized, coached, led, and guided them.

We captured this video at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, before the Houston Texans vs. Chicago Bears NFL game. Their wonderful harmonies will give you shivers, and you will undoubtedly like this performance!
