Carrie Underwood is a renowned singer-songwriter who has always stuck to her values. One of them was to save money until she married. At the age of 27, she married Mike Fisher, three years after making the commitment. They’ve been through hell and high water, but they’re now happily married with two children.
Carrie Underwood was born into a strict Christian environment, so faith has always been an important part of her life. Her family members were fervent Christians who attended church not just to learn more about God and pray but also to feel connected to others.
Underwood’s background and values affected many of her life decisions, including saving for marriage.

Underwood may have been more confident among men, and she struggled to find a companion following her romance with her college love, Drake Clark.
They didn’t physically reconcile until three months later. The couple went on their first date on New Year’s Eve 2008, the same day they kissed.
She did, however, date a few guys throughout her career, including Tony Romo and Chace Crawford, but nothing could compare to the love she had for Fisher.
Underwood and Fisher met on a blind date arranged by Underwood’s bassist, Mark Childers. Fisher was a member of the National Hockey League in Canada at the time, while Underwood lived in Tennessee. If the blind date went well, they would be in a long-distance relationship.
While the singer was originally wary of the arrangement, she couldn’t deny their connection after meeting backstage at one of her gigs. Despite being thousands of miles apart, they kept in touch through phone conversations and text messages.
Fisher was advancing his NHL career in Canada and becoming a major figure in the port sector, while Underwood was traveling the globe and working on new songs.
They didn’t physically reconcile until three months later. The couple went on their first date on New Year’s Eve 2008, the same day they kissed. “Our first kiss was when the ball dropped,” Underwood told Taste of Country. “We were in front of other people, and he’s not a big PDA guy.”

Being apart was difficult, but as public personalities, they were both aware of their individual roles and the sacrifices required to succeed. Fisher, like Underwood, was self-sufficient and sought solace in solitude. She stated:
“It’s possible for us to spend weeks without seeing one another.” He’s the one individual about whom I’ve never had to be concerned. Any man I’ve ever dated would always have that uncertainty.”
Fisher never gave her cause to distrust him, and their long-distance relationship thrived thanks to their mutual trust.
Aside from their shared characteristics, Underwood and Fisher are also Christians. He, like her, was raised in a Christian home before becoming famous. Fisher wanted to pray on his own when he was six years old, and at the age of 17, he left home to join the Ontario Hockey League. His faith, however, weakened when he stepped outside of his comfort zone.

The exquisite bride was dressed in a white Monique Lhuillier gown and wore Fisher’s wedding present, a diamond tiara.
Fisher’s emotional troubles worsened when he had his first taste of success. He disregarded religion and made hasty judgments. He claimed that a straightforward process of praying and talking to my cousin changed his life.
The pair had a spiritual connection and recognized the value of religion in their relationship, which is now an important aspect of their marriage.
They read the Bible together, spoke about their devotionals, and reflected on the meaning of God’s word in their lives, among other things. “Our spiritual bond is something we try to put first in our lives,” Underwood added.

Their strong faith also helped them overcome the difficulties they had as parents, including many miscarriages in 2017 and 2018. They now seek to instill the same faith in their children.

On December 20, 2009, Fisher proposed to Underwood that they spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. The pair did not hide their engagement from their family and friends, but they maintained a low profile until a year later.
On July 10, 2010, the couple married in a lovely wedding ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton resort in Georgia. The exquisite bride was dressed in a white Monique Lhuillier gown and wore Fisher’s wedding present, a diamond tiara.
The wedding ceremony seated 250 guests, who heard the couple’s wedding vows and favorite scriptures. On the occasion, Underwood’s mother couldn’t help but cry, saying:
“I was upset because she was my baby.” But I always prayed that she would find the proper guy, and I know she did.”
Fisher and Underwood married and moved into Underwood’s Nashville house, where they stayed for over a decade. In 2019, the couple relocated to a larger house outside of Nashville.
They tried again and were pregnant in the same year, but experienced the same tragedy. When this occurred for the third time in 2018, Underwood became irritated.
The couple had their first child, Isaiah Michael Fisher, on February 27, 2015. The doting father expressed his pleasure to the media during a game interview. Fisher stated:
“There’s nothing like becoming a father. Obviously, the most essential thing is that everyone be happy, especially Mom. “When you mention him after a horrible game, it’s easy to put a grin on your face.”
The new mother wasted no time in exposing her kid to the world, posting a cute snapshot of Isaiah’s little hand and foot on social media. In the post, she expressed her appreciation to the Lord for blessing them with a wonderful kid.
Underwood and Fisher attempted to extend their family in the years that followed, but she miscarried three times. When the “Before He Cheats” singer miscarried for the first time in 2017, she felt that everything would fall into place in God’s perfect timing.
By the fourth pregnancy, Underwood had felt all of her emotions and let them all out via prayer. She assumed she would miscarry again and spent the evening snuggling with her child while her husband was out.
She cried out to the Lord, asking why she kept becoming pregnant if she was going to lose the baby regardless. “Either shut the door or let me have a kid,” she pleaded. “You keep praying and praying and praying. “Why is this happening?” she continued.
They tried again and were pregnant in the same year, but experienced the same tragedy. When this occurred for the third time in 2018, Underwood became irritated. Despite this, she was thankful for all of her blessings, particularly Isaiah.
“It’s okay if we never have any more children because he’s amazing,” she remarked. “I have this incredible life. What, honestly, can I complain about?”
For the most part, Isaiah and Jacob grew up in a Brentwood, Nashville, house with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. Until 2019, their home included a fitness facility, wet bar, and tennis court.
Fisher felt the same way for many months, but he believed that even after multiple losses, God would reward them with a child called Jacob. Fortunately, the couple’s child survived. Underwood had the impression that God had answered her prayers at that very moment.
Interestingly, Underwood never saw herself marrying or having children when she was younger. She was self-sufficient and content living alone, and she was never excellent with children. Life, on the other hand, had other ideas for her. She fell in love and embraced parenthood the moment she met her child.
Jacob Bryan Fisher, the couple’s second son, was born in January 2019, making his parents the happiest people on the planet. Later, Underwood posted images of their family in the hospital, including Isaiah’s first meeting with his newborn brother.
Being a mother has surely altered Underwood’s life and family relationships. She, on the other hand, eagerly accepted parenthood. Having children altered her marriage, but she and Fisher continue to find time for their connection.

Underwood and Fisher are now happy fathers of two sons. For the most part, Isaiah and Jacob grew up in a Brentwood, Nashville, house with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. Until 2019, their home included a fitness facility, wet bar, and tennis court.
They finally sold the house for $1,410,000 and built their permanent home, which had a “wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing, and rocking chairs.”
The living area of the house is decorated in subdued, moderate tones with wood elements. It also has a big cream sofa, which often appears in the singer’s social media images. As avid collectors of antique trunks, their house is likely to have them as furniture.
In the morning, the couple normally welcomes their children with hugs and kisses as a way to unwind before the day starts. They also make an effort to have meals together and engage in meaningful discussions with their children.
Their house provides plenty of room for Isaiah and Jacob to run about and play. They also have a barn, a lake, a large garden, and horses to teach the boys about animals and the environment. The desire to live a quieter and more serene life on a farm drove their decision to sell their prior luxury residence.
Underwood and Fisher are also instilling strong religious values in their children. The parents had previously planned how to teach religion to Isaiah and hoped that both children would grow up to be good people. According to Underwood:
“Mike and I speak about teaching him how to approach everyone in a caring manner, even if they aren’t the same, and say, ‘You know what? God loves them; therefore, it is my responsibility to try my best to love them as well.”

Isaiah was already aware of his beliefs at an early age and sometimes discussed them with his parents. His parents couldn’t be happier for him or more proud of him.
Aside from their children, Underwood and Fisher work hard to maintain their relationship. According to the artist, her spouse is the guy she intends to spend the rest of her life with. They work on their relationship by listening to and understanding each other.
In reality, at his wife’s request, the sportsman gave her two cows for Christmas in 2020. Underwood’s weakness, on the other hand, is buying gifts for her husband. Nonetheless, she enjoys spending the holiday with her family.
The couple also loves date nights away from the kids. Some of their great occasions, such as red-carpet events, were captured and shared with followers on Instagram.
They also have dates when they go out to eat or do hobbies together, such as shooting outside. In one of his postings while dining out, Fisher referred to his wife as his better half.
Still, God is at the heart of their lives. Underwood starts each day by praying and encouraging her family to do the same. Despite the difficulties she endured as a mother and as a woman, her faith kept her going, and happily, everything worked out in the end.
