Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unveiled their 2024 holiday card, which features an incredibly rare portrait of their children, Archie and Lilibet

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex extended Christmas greetings this week, including a card with six of their favorite images from the year. They included a photo of their 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter, Lilibet. The photograph depicts the royal parents walking down a brick path. They are raising their arms as they get ready to embrace their children, who are racing towards them.

“On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation,” starts the letter. “We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”

The card also includes photos from Harry and Meghan’s trips to Nigeria and Colombia.

It’s been years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posted a photo of their children. The two have promised to keep Archie and Lilibet’s lives secret so that they might have a more normal childhood, and the last time they showed off their young family was in their 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

“Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly,” a friend of the prince told People in August, “not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats.”

“He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm,” he told reporters. “As a dad and husband, Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself.”

According to People, the couple shared the featured holiday card with professional connections. They also sent a second card to their closest friends and family, which they will not share with the public.
