The little girl in the center moves forward, takes a breath, and then something extraordinary happens. One note is all it takes. The room comes to a halt, as if the entire world has stopped. She’s not simply singing; she’s reviving centuries-old music, transforming it into something primal, authentic, and memorable. You may see anything like this again, but I will not. I’m approaching 70, and my hearing is deteriorating. Soon, this voice will just exist in the corners of my mind, like a dream I can’t fully grasp. So don’t simply hear it; experience it. Soak it all in. These moments are fleeting.

Jackie Evancho is redefining classical music. What skill! With so much skill, she finished second on “America’s Got Talent” a few years ago.
