On August 17, the second night of the season 16 live quarterfinals, the nine-year-old opera singer once more amazed the judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.
She performed a stunning rendition of “Casta Diva” to close out the live broadcast on Tuesday, winning the judges of the NBC competition five unheard-of golden ringtones.
That amazed me. I had no idea somebody your age could sing in that style. Vergara remarked, “I thought someone required years and years of training, and you’re doing it as if nothing has occurred, and it’s the most natural part of life for you.
Brinker was “the cherry on top of a great night,” according to Klum, and Mandel raved about how she will undoubtedly move on to the semi-finals thanks to her unique skills.
However, Cowell received the most glowing comments for the up-and-coming opera star.
He claims, “I don’t know anything about orchestral music.” Carrie Underwood came to audition for me on another show several years ago, and I told her I thought she would sell millions and millions of records—and I was right.
You will be one of the biggest stars to come out of any of these events; I’m going to say that much. I think you are lovely and have a special skill.
