Here’s a feel-good performance from the Britain’s Got Talent finals that wasn’t part of the competition but nonetheless wowed the crowd.

Sister Act was a musical based on the famous 1992 film of the same name, which performed locally in California before moving to London’s West End in 2009 and Broadway in 2011.

It’s about a nightclub singer named Deloris Van Cartier (played in the film by Whoopi Goldberg), who goes undercover as a nun to enter witness protection and ends up redesigning their choir and assisting the nuns in discovering their own power and strength. It was a huge comic success, leading to a theater musical.

Based on this performance, we expect the play’s future West End revival to be a success. It stars Keala Settle, who appeared in The Greatest Showman.
