Brantley Gilbert, a country music artist, has an unexpected response to being thrown a Bud Light on stage (Video)

Much has been reported recently about Bud Light’s collaboration with transgender TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney.

Indeed, the choice to make Mulvaney the face of their company in order to promote the March Madness basketball tournament has split opinion since its inception, and the maelstrom of criticism shows no signs of abating.

Among the deluge of comments and views, a number of high-profile personalities have sided with or against Bud Light’s request, with Kid Rock becoming viral after recording himself firing Bud Light cans out of the sky with a machine gun in protest.

Brantley Gilbert, the latest country music artist to weigh in on the issue, made his opinions known at a performance this weekend at Indian Mountain ATV Park in Piedmont, Alabama.

Bud Light sparked outrage last month when it announced that transgender TikTok sensation Dylan Mulvaney would be its spokesman for the March Madness basketball tournament.

Bud Light cans with Mulvaney’s face on them were developed to commemorate a milestone in her “365 Days of Girlhood” TikTok series, in which Mulvaney chronicles and describes her first year of identifying as a transgender woman.

Since then, both Bud Light and Mulvaney have suffered derision and condemnation from different sectors of the media, as well as considerable response online.

To say the least, the subject has sparked heated discussion. Brantley Gilbert, a country music musician and well-known conservative, had his say this past weekend.

Gilbert, who no longer drinks, received a can of Bud Light from an audience member while performing on stage in Piedmont, Alabama, according to Fox News.

The 38-year-old singer-songwriter yelled, “F— that!” and smashed the can on the ground. Gilbert nodded approvingly and gave another brand of beer to his drummer, who swiftly gulped it.

Gilbert’s response is seen below:

Mulvaney, who rose to stardom in 2022, has reportedly teamed with a number of well-known businesses.

She was recently seen in a sponsored social media video dancing in a Nike women’s sports bra. Nike defended their choice after being chastised, asking consumers to “be nice, be inclusive, and encourage one another.”

While there has been some criticism of Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney, it must be stated that it has also received some appreciation. Many online users hailed the brave decision, seeing it as a step in the right direction for inclusion and equal rights for everyone.

What are your opinions on Bud Light appointing Dylan Mulvaney as their spokesperson? We’d love to hear your ideas, so please post them in the comments section.
