There is something very wonderful about being active at all stages of life. When we were young, climbing trees and chasing each other around a park, there was a dense cloud of enchantment and imagination that found its way into the thoughts of even adults—children’s enthusiasm is contagious! Young adults possess an immense amount of strength and endurance, propelling us to lead crazy active lifestyles that range from running marathons to performing on stage four times in a weekend. We can accomplish everything when we’re young and wake up refreshed to tackle the next challenge.
However, as we age, our bodies change, and moving about no longer occurs in the same manner it once did. Our muscles may warm up slower and we may wake up tired than when we were younger. It is more crucial than ever to overcome these difficulties and maintain an active lifestyle. Our bodies will reward us, and our lives will be filled with greater energy and joy as a result of the endorphins released during exercise.
A recent Facebook video shows that staying active and lively is not just for the young.
The film depicts Dietmar Ehrentraut, 70, and his wife, Nellia, 64. An Austrian pair performs in a dance competition in Bavaria, Germany. And their moves show that age is only a number!
As they spin and twist on the dance floor, they are obviously committing to this challenge. The pair receives huge shouts from the audience after doing multiple swing dance partner dips and lifts—how could you not clap for this fantastic duo? It’s incredibly heartening to see that age doesn’t stop these two from doing something they clearly enjoy.
