Father-son dance team burst onto the stage, illuminating the room with absurd routines and infectious energy that elicited laughter from the audience!

Most men raise their sons as their fathers raised them, and a father’s bond with his child is complex. The connection is primarily passive, focusing more on actions than words. It differs from a father-daughter connection based on protectiveness. It entails a lot of teaching, learning, scolding, and coaching them on their ideas of what a good, powerful, and successful man should be in life.

As the son grows older, he distances himself from his father and seeks independence, but he is unaware that his father is there behind him, supporting him in whatever he does.

The legendary Stavros Flatley is a perfect example of a positive father-son connection. Demetrios and his son Michalakis are of British-Greek heritage; they first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, doing a dance that demonstrated their positive connection.

Demetrious stated that dancing is an important aspect of Greek culture, and he used to dance at his restaurant. When his kid discovered his passion for dancing, he was keen to join in as well. Despite not seeming like pros, they performed with confidence, fun, and joy on BGT, and the audience and judges loved it.

They made a triumphant comeback to the stage in 2019 following their 2009 finalist status. Michalakis is now an adult, and Demetrios is a little older, but they danced with the same fervor they had when they first auditioned. Everyone was pleased to be back on the show after such a memorable performance. Simon appreciated it so much that he had to award them the Golden Buzzer.
