Harry, the first to go from Balmoral, missed his grandma’s gathering… He and Meghan had not seen the Queen in months…

Apparently, Prince Harry was unable to visit his grandmother before she left, but at least he has happy memories of all the times they spent together in the past. Among such memories was the Queen’s encounter with Harry’s nickname-sharing daughter a few months prior to her passing.

The media questioned whether Duchess Meghan will also be traveling to Scotland’s Balmoral Castle earlier today, on September 8, 2022. It looked that Meghan and Prince Harry planned to visit the Queen at her home in the morning.

The Duke of Sussex had to travel by himself to see his grandma after the arrangement was revised. At the same time, as the monarch’s doctors voiced concerns about her deteriorating condition, other members of the royal household moved quickly to support her.

Some questions were raised when Harry and Meghan’s spokeswoman revealed that they will be visiting Scotland. The royal family was worried since there had been conflict between them and the newlyweds in recent years.

The previous Prince Charles, now known as King Charles III, and his sister Princess Anne raced to be by the Queen’s side when she was placed under medical monitoring in the morning. The 2 older children of the monarch were already in Scotland when the news spread.

Prince Andrew and Prince Edward also arrived at the estate around 5 in the afternoon. The Duchess of Wessex traveled with Prince William, Harry’s older brother and another grandchild of the Queen.

Unfortunately for the Duke of Sussex, the news of the monarch’s passing came while he was still traveling to Aberdeen Airport. After departing on a private Cessna aircraft from London’s Luton Airport, Harry did not reach Balmoral until one and a half hours after the Palace statement.

The royal statement was scheduled to be released at 6.29 p.m., thus his airplane should have landed at that time. He unfortunately took off from the airport at 5:35 p.m., 20 minutes after the scheduled departure time, and flew for an hour and 11 minutes to get there.

Arrival of Harry at Balmoral Castle to bid his grandmother farewell
The Daily Mail claims that when Harry touched down, it had already been 16 minutes since Buckingham Palace had announced the Queen’s passing. The Duke of Sussex was seen arriving at the castle at 7.52 p.m. after driving there by himself.

Eventually, he was able to reunite with the rest of his family. According to the report, he was sitting in the backseat of a Range Rover with dust on his face, perhaps thinking about life without his grandmother.

Despite the family strife that developed when he and his wife left their positions in 2020, the Queen has always favored Harry. It’s reported that the monarch’s grandson can still make her chuckle.

He was among the last visitors at Balmoral Castle, but 12 hours later he was back on the road. The Independent claims that he was saw leaving the estate the following morning around 8:15.

5 police motorcycles and two dark Range Rovers left in a convoy; the prince arrived at Aberdeen International Airport an hour and 20 minutes later.

When he was spotted boarding a British Airways aircraft, Meghan’s hubby was decked up in a matching suit and black backpack. He was seen conversing with a woman wearing a vest who seemed to be working for the airport as he made his way to the jet.

In order to address the grieving country, His Majesty the King was scheduled to fly from Scotland to London. The Duke of Sussex will reportedly join his father in Windsor upon his return.

Despite the divide that existed between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, Harry and his grandmother remained very close. Meghan’s husband has made sure that his bond with the Queen is maintained even though he is not as close to his older brother.

Because he now lives in the United States, he uses video conversations to keep her informed about his life and the lives of his children, Lilibet and Archie (US). He visited her at Windsor Castle in April 2022 as she was en route to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.

The two shared an uncommon bond that was frequently apparent. For instance, in a humorous video from 2016 promoting his Invictus Games, Harry was successful in persuading the monarch to drop her guard and appear beside him!

The Sussexes have given several damaging interviews since relocating to California in the United States, where they have spoken their truth about the royal family. But it didn’t succeed in severing Harry’s connection to the monarch.

The Daily Mail claims that the Queen, the grandmother of Prince Harry, was grieved by this.

She once referred to the pair as much-loved family members and still felt affection for them. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to honor her, proving that the affection is reciprocal.

In one of their Oprah Winfrey tell-all interviews, which was broadcast in March 2021, Meghan only had kind things to say about the king. Harry’s wife narrated these comments from her step-grandmother with much affection:

“The Queen has always treated me very well. I had a great time in her company. She was always friendly, hospitable, and warm.

Meghan and her spouse made sure to surprise the Queen as she celebrated her platinum jubilee for 4 days in June 2022. The couple and their two kids took a flight from the United States to the United Kingdom in that month!

The monarch has never personally met their daughter, Lilibet, because she was born in the United States a year earlier. The late queen was fortunate to meet her granddaughter before passing away!

The encounter, according to sources, was “very warm” and “extremely polite.” Later on, the Queen’s grandson spoke about the private encounter but avoided talking about his daughter’s first encounter with her great-grandmother, saying that the Queen would have ‘loved’ to watch the Invictus Games.

The fact that Meghan and Harry were only able to see the Queen once had an impact on their decision to name their baby after the monarch’s childhood nickname. The Daily Mail claims that the Queen, the grandmother of Prince Harry, was grieved by this.
