Jennifer Aniston has oil splashed on her while filming for The Morning Show

The Morning Show footage shows Jennifer Aniston’s character dousing herself in fake oil.

The Morning Show, an American TV drama for Apple TV+, delves into the ruthless world of morning television, examining contemporary events and how they have played out in the news, ranging from the #MeToo movement to the coronavirus outbreak.

Protesters throw oil at Jennifer Aniston’s character, Alex Levy, in a trailer for the upcoming fourth season.

The Morning Show received a fourth-season renewal before the third season even started.

On July 8, Aniston posted an Instagram selfie of herself and co-star Reese Witherspoon, indicating that production for the new season has begun.

On the production site, photographs and even films of Aniston getting oil thrown over her while in costume have been uploaded online.

A TikTok video, which later circulated on Twitter, shows Aniston on set, standing in front of a group of demonstrators who some believe represent climate activists.

Protesters are holding placards that read ‘Truth Warrior’, and then, out of nowhere, fake oil is thrown at Aniston from the right.

And it didn’t take long for fans of the show to turn to social media to comment on the situation.

Several people were confused by the clip, not understanding that it was shot on set for the TV series.

“People are protesting big oil spills on Jennifer Aniston, and she looks bewildered and scared,” a Twitter user wrote. “Why do you believe they targeted her?”

What was the motivation behind their actions? Another addition.
However, if you listen until the conclusion of the tape, you can hear the word ‘cut’, indicating that the sequence was scripted for the series.

A second user commented, “It’s acting.”

“That’s from the show, dude.” A third person added, “In a longer version of the video, you can hear ‘cut’ at the end, and everyone breaks.”
And a fourth resolution: “The fact that some people thought this was real is extremely concerning.”

Apple TV+ has yet to confirm a release date for season four of The Morning Show, but with development beginning, it is projected to premiere in 2025.
