Margot Robbie’s spouse gives uncommon insight into their marriage

Tom Ackerley has shared details about his infamously quiet marriage to Margot Robbie, including their shared pet peeve and how they keep their personal and professional lives apart.

Naturally, Robbie is a well-known Hollywood performer, most known for her parts in Barbie and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Ackerley, whose full name is Thomas Francis Michael Ackerley, is an actor, producer, and former assistant director in the film industry.

Alongside Robbie, Ackerley co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment, a production business that worked on movies like I, Tonya, Barbie, and Saltburn.

The pair got together while filming Suite Française in 2013, started dating the following year, and got married in 2016.

The couple discussed their romance and how they manage to spend “24 hours a day” together in an interview with The Times.

Ackerley responded, “It’s seamless,” when asked how they manage to keep business and pleasure separate. There isn’t an on/off toggle available. All of it has united into one.”

Ackerley states that he “feels like an honorary Aussie; Margot feels like an honorary Brit,” although he does “wish there was more of a sporting rivalry” between the couple’s home countries. It appears that they also get along well.

I guess we can all identify with the couple’s apparent only point of contention, which is chocolate cookies.

Also speaking candidly about her previous marriage, Robbie said to Porter, “I’m a great advocate of doing business with your partner.” The best part of marriage is that life has somehow become even more enjoyable. Being someone’s wife comes with responsibilities, so I want to improve.”

The Barbie actor spoke on this topic in a 2016 interview with Vogue, describing how the two became close friends on a movie set before falling in love.

“We were friends for so long,” she remarked. I knew that he would never love me back, even though I was in love with him all the time. Margot, don’t make it strange. Telling him you like him is not foolish. When it finally happened, I thought, “Of course we’re together.” Nothing has ever made sense the way that this does. It makes so much sense.”

This December, the movie buff couple will commemorate their eighth wedding anniversary.
