George and Amal Clooney enjoyed a lovely summer date in Italy.

On Friday, August 2, the pair was photographed on a boat with friends on the shores of Lake Como before dining at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

George, 63, donned a gray suit with a black shirt and tan shoes to the event, while Amal, 46, wore a cropped black one-shoulder blouse with a matching maxi skirt and gold stilettos.

She completed her beautiful outfit with a pair of gold statement earrings.

Lake Como is an upmarket location in Northern Italy that is popular with celebrities, according to Travel & Leisure, who include the Clooneys, Gianni Versace, Lionel Messi, and Madonna as renowned tourists. In May, the neighborhood also spotted Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on a romantic date.

According to The Washington Post, George has reportedly held a lakefront mansion for more than two decades, having purchased it for around $10 million. The actor eventually purchased a neighboring property, making it “one of the largest private homes in the area,” according to The Wall Street Journal.

We expect the 25-room home’s value to exceed $100 million by 2022. In 2023, he denied rumors that they were selling their Italy home, telling people through his spokesperson that “it’s not true.”

Lake Como holds outstanding value for the pair. In a 2017 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, George claimed that he initially met his wife there in 2013. “I thought she was beautiful, funny, and obviously smart,” he explained of his initial impression.

Last summer, people spotted the couple, who have two children, enjoying a date night at the same opulent hotel.

The five-star hotel features many eating options, including a wine bar, a traditional bar, a seafood restaurant, and a pizza parlor. They also host the romantic Italian restaurant La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi, which serves saffron risotto cooked with gold.
