Some celebrities choose to keep their romantic relationships private, but others are quite open about them.

Selena Gomez recently became a topic of discussion online after sharing a photo of herself and her music producer boyfriend, Benny Blanco, whom she has been dating since 2023.

The pair was spending the Fourth of July together, so they naturally resorted to social media to share their experiences.

Blanco posted photographs of Gomez standing in a white dress on his Instagram Story, while the Wizards of Waverly Place star posted photos of herself.

Before first sight, the photo appears to be rather wholesome, with both smiling before the camera and Blanco wrapping his arms around Gomez’ chest.

However, this seems to stir quite a number of her supporters.

“Get a room,” suggested one person.

“I’m surprised Selena let him do that.” I understand she likes the man, but that is insulting. Selena should respect herself more. “It makes me look at her a little differently,” another stated.

“If it’s intimate, why are we seeing it?” A third person remarked.

Overall, it looks like a harsh treatment of what appears to be a beautiful photograph.

Despite some harsh remarks, Gomez has garnered encouraging feedback from her admirers, who believe the singer is ‘happy’.

In response to Pop Base’s post on the photos, one user said, “She looks so happy.”

“So happy for her and her now-found joy.” I wrote another one.

A third remarked, “They look happy,” while a fourth added they ‘loved’ the pair together.

Gomez has even addressed some of the hate Blanco has received from her followers, stating that it does not affect her.

In a May interview with TIME, she stated, “I know what people can do to those I love.

“My own fans, whom I respect and believe have shaped who I am, will say the most terrible things to me about the way I live. But he has enough power that none of those sounds bother him.”

“It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him.”
