Shania Twain’s iconic concert at Glastonbury 2024 featured the hen-night smash ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman!’ in front of a throng of fans

Today, people regard Shania Twain’s 1997 hit song “Man! (“I Feel Like a Woman!”) as one of the most legendary pop songs ever written. Despite the severe effects of Lyme illness on Shania’s voice, her electric performance at Glastonbury 2024 demonstrated her enormous skill as a pop icon and hitmaker. She has demonstrated incredible resilience in the face of hardship.

The Canadian country singer delivered a 14-song concert at the Pyramid, accompanied by a virtually entirely female band. The performance featured songs like “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Come On Over,” and the concert concluded with the defiant hen-night hymn, “Man!” Wow, I am energized!

Many other musicians experienced the same sound difficulties as Shania had at Glastonbury this year. Coleen Nolan, an ex-popstar, defended Shania on the daytime chat show Loose Women. She stated, “I was watching Shania and thinking she was having huge troubles as she was continually pulling the ear piece out and putting it back in… Because she seemed out of sync at times, I knew she couldn’t hear me. I thought to myself that, at the very least, she is demonstrating that it is live.

Fortunately, Shania’s set-ending song had corrected most of the sound issues. Shania’s vocal talents have significantly deteriorated over the 1990s, despite her voice still being stronger than most of us watching at home. Despite her flawless verses, Shania was unable to reproduce the hit’s iconic melody owing to her mid-range harmony in the pre-chorus and chorus lines.
