We have all grown up seeing Simon Cowell transform into a snarky judge on reality programs. We genuinely admire him for his candid remarks about people singing. So it’s not surprising when he’s not really impressed with someone and expresses it to their face. However, one person who walked in to audition for the X-Factor had a slightly different experience.

Curtis Moore entered the audition stage of X-Factor UK, trying to win hearts. Cheryl Cole starts asking him questions as soon as he enters, to help him relax on stage. When it’s Simon’s turn to inquire, he’s surprised by the teenager’s attitude.

Moore begins the song without saying anything, telling the judges to let him perform. He performs Mario’s romantic R&B song “Let Me Love You” from the “Stepup” album. Three out of four assessors were really impressed by his vocals. Cheryl even complimented him, claiming he possesses Chris Brown’s flair.

However, Simon was unimpressed with the 16-year-old’s attitude. He asks Curtis how he thinks he did it. But the way he responded infuriated Simon. He tells Curtis to “get over it and stop being such a prick.” He does, however, admit that he admires him and his arrogance. So, to succeed, he needs to improve his mindset. Curtis makes it to the next round.
