In barely a year, though, the derelict silo was turned into a fashion house that graced the cover of a design magazine. In 1955, a married couple purchased a silo tower.

She was transported to the location and started the process of transforming it into a genuine house. The family’s leader is an experienced architect, so he recognized the extent of the work right away.

The corrugated steel plate was kept but repainted white to reflect sunlight. The round doors and windows were custom-built, and the main entry was made sliding. The home has a total area of just 31 square meters.

Everything fits thanks to a professional approach: the kitchen, bathroom, and cupboards are placed in a circle, and the middle area is domestic. The furniture is also incorporated into the decor, with the bedroom on the second story. The one-of-a-kind proposal was rapidly selected for and subsequently won a design competition.
