Audrey Hepburn rose to fame as a result of her outstanding performance as a royal princess in the 1953 American romantic comedy film Roman Holiday.

As a result of this performance, Audrey Hepburn made history by becoming the first actress to receive awards from the Academy, the Golden Globes, and the BAFTAs for a single performance.

After moving to Switzerland from Italy in 1965, Audrey Hepburn purchased a modern farmhouse in the village of Tolochenaz that had been built in the 18th century.

She used the French moniker “La Paisible,” which means “The Place of Peace,” to refer to this location.

It was rumored that the actress from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” had spent the last 30 years of her life in this city.

Although the little town’s very relatively small population, Hepburn’s life was not completely cut off from contemporary culture.

This is because the modest hamlet is located only 25 kilometers (15 miles) from Lausanne and 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Geneva.

Hepburn once stated that when she was a youngster, all that she desired was a house with a garden, and once she got La Paisible, she received exactly that.

Ferrer was Hepburn’s first spouse.

She remembers feeling a fluttering sensation all over her body when she first viewed the residence and said that it stuck with her.

Hepburn was so committed to the idea of self-sufficiency while she was residing at La Paisible that she grew all of her own vegetables and even examined the prospect of keeping rabbits and chicks.

During this period, she was a pioneer in the movement of sustainable living. In addition to that, this actress from My Fair Lady owned a couple of dogs as well as a young deer.

During her lifetime, Hepburn was involved in two marriages that were ultimately unsuccessful. Her first marriage, to the American actor Mel Ferrer, ultimately ended in divorce.

The couple was given a wonderful gift in the form of Sean Hepburn Ferrer, a son.

The second marriage of Audrey Hepburn, to the Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti, lasted for thirteen years until Dotti began an affair with another woman during that time.

The birth of Hepburn’s second son, Luca Dotti, who was the product of his marriage, was a fortunate event.

From 1980 until the time of her passing in 1993, Hepburn was romantically involved with the Dutch actor Robert Wolders.

Hepburn has stated that her nine years spent with Wolders were the happiest years of her life, and that she and Wolders were in fact wedded to each other in her mind even though they were never actually wed.

Despite the upheaval in her personal life and the success of her acting career in Hollywood, Hepburn was able to find a place to call home and put down roots.
