Campbell has always enjoyed taking apart and reassembling items to create something new. He intended to utilize this plot of land as the foundation for the mansion he planned to construct for himself out of a collection of abandoned cargo ships. Campbell believed he had created a unique home design, only to learn later that someone had already built a structure almost exactly like his. Bruce Campbell encountered Mississippi hairstylist Joanne Ussery roughly twenty years after he first devised his method. She had transformed a Boeing 727 into her home. After her old home burned down, she decided to rebuild in the shape of an aircraft and relocate near a quiet river. Campbell reconsidered his strategy and decided to alter it.

Furthermore, he made significant improvements in a variety of areas. Continue reading the post to learn more about Campbell’s airplane home and see more photos.

Campbell paid Olympic Airways $100,000 in 1999 to purchase a Boeing 727. When Campbell first purchased the large plane, he had to transport it to the forests of Oregon. Transporting the plane from Athens, Greece, complicated the situation. He paid $220,000 for the plane, which included an estimated $120,000 in shipping costs. However, he thought he wisely spent the money on the plane.

The aircraft provides the basic necessities of life. Campbell has preserved the aircraft’s restroom and a couple of its original seats. Campbell also installed a washer and a sink.

Despite the spaciousness of the Boeing 727, Campbell does not spend much time in his peculiar house. His kitchen has a microwave and a toaster, and his favored diet consists of cereal and canned foods.

Although we wouldn’t live in Campbell’s plane, we’re impressed by his work! Just look at this cool-looking plane. Achieving such a significant accomplishment must be an incredible feeling.
