Picture being very shy. You’re so shy that you can’t even perform in front of people.

Imagine that on top of all this, the thing that makes you the happiest is something that requires you to… perform in front of people.

This is exactly what happened to Amelia Lily, a shy 16-year-old girl who sang “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin on The X Factor UK in 2011.

But if you saw her perform, you wouldn’t know that she had stage fright.

The bleached-blonde singer walked out on stage with full confidence and sang each line in a style similar to that of Joplin.

She gave the performance a killer edge by singing each line with a growl that could hit you right in the heart.

The crowd liked her so much that they cheered for her pretty much every time she opened her mouth while she was on stage.

After the performance, the judges could not help but be amazed. And they were so happy to see Amelia on the show. It was hard to believe that someone so young could have a voice so strong and grown-up.

When Amelia was done singing, one of the judges said, “Let me tell you something. People work their whole lives and it takes them a long time to get where you are now.

You look a lot older than you really are when you’re on stage. You seemed like a 30-year-old woman who had been practicing her talent for a long time and was very good at it. That was so cool.”

Amelia’s family was also there backstage, grinning from ear to ear and, of course, cheering loudly for her great performance.

Another judge, who was also surprised by how young the performer was, yelled, “Amelia, this is why I wanted to be here: to find talent like this.

That took this arena to a whole new level. That was so cool.”

When it was time to cast their votes, it seemed like all four judges agreed. “Amelia, you haven’t even touched the tip of the iceberg,” someone said.

The last judge told Amelia, “You got four big yeses.” It was a beautiful and encouraging moment.

Amelia almost seems like she doesn’t know how smart she is. She will definitely be able to bring the house down wherever she goes, no matter how big or small the stage is. Her voice is so beautiful.
