Tom Sandoval, the bad guy from ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ famously auditioned for season 20 of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ His appearance sparked an internet firestorm as people objected to the unexpected focus on his job. Sandoval and his band, ‘The Most Extras,’ managed to impress the judges with a foot-tapping cover of A-ha’s song, ‘Take On Me.’ The ensemble received a standing ovation and progressed to the following round, ensuring Sandoval’s career as a singer. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with NBC, the reality star responded to Simon Cowell’s chilly evaluation after having a warm welcome from the original judge at the start.
By keeping silent for a few minutes, Cowell created a sense of mystery about his reaction to the deed. “Tom, I didn’t think the vocals were fantastic. “I’m going to be honest with you,” he said, accompanied by a thundering “boo” from the audience. The host said, “Not everyone comes on this show to get a record deal; sometimes it’s about being true to who you are.” Sandoval and his bandmates were ecstatic when the record mogul finally said yes. Witnessing Simon Cowell’s huge smile was everything to me. “I mean, that was everything to me.” The ‘Traitors’ star responded to Cowell’s statement.
“He’s spent his career hearing the top vocalists in the world. So, as a performer, I’m not the next Celine Dion.” I understand,” Sandoval said. He also raved about Mel B’s kind words and stated his excitement about singing at her impending wedding. “You were fully enjoying yourselves, and you’re not embarrassed to admit that you’re a cover band, and I may need a cover band for my upcoming wedding,” the former Spice Girls member stated following the band’s performance.
“It was amazing that Mel B. was so into it. First and foremost, congratulations on her marriage! But did she say anything about us playing at her wedding? “Which, of course, we would love to do,” Sandoval remarked. Additionally, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ actor stated that he was initially hesitant to choose A-ha’s renowned music because he was concerned about hitting high notes. He admitted to studying with vocal tutors to improve his abilities before captivating the audience with his faultless singing. Sandoval also talked favorably of his girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, and his best buddy, Tom Schwartz.
Victoria and her parents were present. Schwartz was there, as was his brother, and there was just a lot of wonderful vibe,” he explained. Sandoval was previously involved in a dating controversy that nearly wrecked his life. He cheated on his then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with his co-star, Raquel Leviss. Madix and Sandoval left for Splitsville shortly after ending their nearly nine-year romance. Since then, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ actor has been heavily chastised for his behavior, but after appearing on AGT, Sandoval hopes to resurrect his ruined career.
