A married couple used a surrogate to have twins, and a DNA test a month later proved the unimaginable…

It’s difficult to picture being a surrogate, getting pregnant with twins, and discovering that one of the kids is your biological child. Only in movies do such things occur, right?

Mistake. This was a fact in Jessica Allen’s life.

Jessica and Wardell Allen had two children together and were a happy couple. Jessica, however, opted to become a surrogate mother because she felt she wanted to support families who were unable to conceive and give birth.

Jessica began IVF procedures as a surrogate for a Chinese couple. She learned that she was expecting not just one baby but two babies in April 2016. Jessica was carrying twins at the time. The physicians informed her that although it is uncommon, occasionally, an egg breaks into twins.

The twins’ arrival was announced to the Chinese couple, and Jessica’s pregnancy went off without a hitch.

Before the babies were given to the Chinese couple after birth, she saw that one of them had skin that was noticeably darker than the other.

The Chinese couple emailed Jessica images a few days later, and she noted right once how drastically different the two appeared. One of the infants didn’t appear to be Chinese; instead, his skin tone matched that of Jessica and Wardell’s other kids. Despite the fact that these were red flags, Jessica dared not bring them up.

A few weeks later, the Chinese couple started to question whether everything was going according to plan. The results of a DNA test revealed that the previously unthinkable had become feasible. Amazingly, one of the infants was Jessica and Wardell’s biological child—the babies weren’t twins.

They finally received their child back after a protracted procedure, and they now feel like a complete family.

It’s a biological mystery in this scenario. Normally, a woman’s period stops as soon as she becomes pregnant, but in a few rare instances, it may extend, allowing a woman to become pregnant — even if she is already pregnant.
