One Ohio couple just celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary and will both be 100 years old! There are so many beautiful occasions to celebrate with your family!

In July 1922, Hubert and June Malicote were born. Hubert was born on the 23rd of July, and June was born on the 13th. They were both raised in rural Kentucky but did not meet until they relocated to Ohio in search of jobs.

The two lovebirds originally met and became friends at church. When their friendship blossomed into love, the two decided to marry on June 8, 1943. During WWII, they had to spend two years apart since Hubert was serving with the Navy in Hawaii.

Hubert returned from the war, and the couple made a nice life in Hamilton, Ohio, with three children. They currently have seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren!

This year, Hubert and June are commemorating their 100th birthdays with a patio celebration and a church ceremony. And it is their deep faith and love that have sustained them through their 79-year marriage.

“We’ve never fought,” Hubert pointed out. “We’ve never fought.” We didn’t always get along, but we never injured each other on purpose. If there is a dispute, you may need to take a little break.”

June and Hubert value spending time together, even after all these years. Every night, they eat supper, watch a movie, and kiss before going to bed.
