Alfonso Ribeiro, star of ‘Fresh Prince,’ shares a heartbreaking picture of his daughter one day before her fourth birthday

Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela Ribeiro, have provided updates on the status of their daughter, Ava Sue, through social media.

According to accounts, the little girl needed emergency surgery on Friday, May 12 to avoid scarring after falling off her sit-down scooter only one day before her fourth birthday.

Alfonso complimented the medical staff at Kare MD Skin Health while sharing images of his daughter’s injuries, which included major bruises and serious burns on her right elbow, shoulder, and around her right eye. He also expressed delight in Ava’s bravery.

“Not the kind of day you want the day before turning four,” the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor said on Instagram. I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to Kare MD Skin Health for the emergency service and treatment that helped reduce the probability of scarring. I was very proud of my darling girl’s bravery throughout the procedure.

Meanwhile, Ava’s mother, Angela, went into further detail about her daughter’s accident, admitting that she had a horrible feeling that morning that Ava would end up in danger.

She described it as “a vision or motherly intuition” and wrote:

“I told the family, kids, sitter, and friends who were helping me prepare for Ava’s birthday party that ‘we are not doing anything crazy or dangerous today that could potentially end up with an ER visit.'” When I shouted these words, I practically made everyone’s eyes lock on me.”

Angela’s comments, however, were evidently not taken seriously enough, for Ava crashed from her scooter not long after she disclosed her warning.

Following the event, Ava was brought to Kare MD Skin Health and Dr. Raffy after hours in order to reduce the possibility of future scarring.

“Not a fun way to spend your last day as a 3-year-old, but she was a trooper,” Angela said.

“Giving this adorable girl extra hugs tonight.”

Meanwhile, the Kare MD Skin Health team turned to Instagram on May 12 to wish Ava a happy birthday.

“Thank you very much, for your kind words.” We are privileged to look after your darling princess, Ava. “Best wishes for a speedy recovery,” they captioned the photo.

I believe we can all agree that it is always scary when one of our infants is injured. I’m glad Alfonso and Angela’s child is recovering nicely!
