The admirer’s name is Maude Daigneault, and it turns out that she is a serious singer in her own right. When Groban picked her to sing alongside him, she was pleased. Maude informed Groban that she wanted to perform “To Where You Are,” despite her first feelings of overwhelm.
Their performance was recorded on video, which has since become popular on the internet. The crowd went completely wild for Maude during this performance. She carried on the legendary performance by releasing a duet version of “To Where You Are” on YouTube. It’s apparent that singing on stage with Groban had a huge impact on Maude’s musical growth, and it’s wonderful to see how much she treasures that song.
