He still has the moves, for sure!
Your abilities are not judged by your age. Your quality of life and what you can do with it are determined by the vitality you possess.
Dick Van Dyke, who is 96 years old, still has the energy to spread happiness and dance and sing with his wife Arlene Silver, who is 50 years old.
In a recent music video for Silver’s band Arlene & the Vantastix featuring Tony Guerrero, Van Dyke, well-known for his appearances in “Mary Poppins” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” busted out some moves and sang a duet with his wife.
Beginning the clip, Silver sings the famous Doris Day song that goes as follows while gazing into a mirror:
“I shouldn’t worry about nothing”
Yes, everyone does love me.
And I cherish everyone.
since I started to adore you.
With Frank DeWol & His Orchestra, Day gave the world premiere of “Everybody Loves a Lover” in 1958. The song was composed by Richard Adler and Robert Allen.
Over the years, there have been numerous remakes.
The walls and furniture in the Arlene & the Vantastix’s music video are decorated with fruit and floral patterns in brilliant, vivid hues.
We move along as Silver approaches her seated hubby. Before the two begin to slide around the floor and engage in some synchronized slick footwork, Van Dyke briefly sings.
A lovely smooth between the two is seen in the video’s epilogue. After dating for almost six years, Van Dyke and Silver got married in 2012.
This February 29th, they commemorated their tenth wedding anniversary.
Silver told Parade, “I recall seeing Dick at the catering table with his bow tie and his enormous smile. He was seated next to me as soon as I sat down. He introduced himself as Dick and I immediately questioned him, “Weren’t you in ‘Mary Poppins’? ’”
After 36 years of marriage, Van Dyke filed for divorce from his first wife, Margie Willet, in 1984.
Before her death in 2009, he was in a relationship with Michelle Triola for 30 years. Silver is currently engaged.
It’s about right, said Van Dyke, because “she’s very mature for her age and I’m pretty immature for my age.”
Silver claimed that their friendship was the foundation of their relationship.
Then his innocent charm won her over.
He is quite entertaining. He is not very immature. He has the wonder of a child and is immature in a wonderful way, she remarked.
He’s just entertaining and open-minded. He is not at all set in his ways. We resemble kids, everyone of us. We both feel like we’re experiencing childhood all over again.
On Silver’s YouTube account, their rendition of “Everybody Loves a Lover” has received more than 888,000 views.
“Congratulations to this lovely, infatuated pair for their lovely voices, step work, and atmosphere. What a fantastic, elegant video! “, a commenter wrote.
Amazingly upbeat song and dance number. Another person remarked, “Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Van Dyke for making this chilly Michigan morning brighter.
