Man bought old farmhouse to demolish, started dismantling the barn, and stumbled upon one of the world’s most expensive artifacts

Mark Benton purchased an ancient property intending to demolish it. The main attraction for him was the land itself. The guy came up with the idea of inspecting the contents of the barn on the outskirts even before construction began.

When the gates creaked open, Mark was astonished to see one of the world’s most expensive automobiles, constructed in 1959. Jaguar launched the Mark 2 sedan this year, which is unique for the firm. The company sought to acquire new clients.

The Jaguar XK sports car engine powered the Jaguar Mark 2, making it one of the fastest cars available at the time. The designers combined this aesthetically pleasing and representational form with a powerful engine.

Despite the liberation of some automobiles, the majority still resided in their original country of England. That’s why Mark was surprised when he spotted one of the rare Jaguars on a long-abandoned Iowa farm, a location that even its own residents consider far from cultural hotspots.  The automobile’s remarkable preservation comes from decades of storage in a wooden shed.

Additionally, we found paperwork in the glove box that showed the automobile’s last registration date was 1983. The automobile will be auctioned off. The buyer anticipates receiving at least a few hundred thousand dollars in return.
