A man in Indonesia searching for his missing wife was shocked to find a python with a “huge” tumor in its stomach.

Siriati, a mother of five, left her house in Indonesia on Tuesday morning (July 2) to see her brother, intending to pick up medicine at a local market, when she came upon a massive 30-foot Python.

Adiansa’s 36-year-old husband has revealed that he initially got concerned when her brother called to see if Siriati had set out to meet him before their journey to the Luwu Regency in South Sulawesi.

Adiansa stated that she had already left to meet him, so he resumed walking the same path along the bush track, afraid that she hadn’t come yet.

There, he came upon Siriati’s slippers.

He discovered the non-venomous reptile coiled up by the walkway in the foliage, with ‘a really enormous belly.

Terrified by the discovery, Adiansa enlisted the help of his people to cut open the beast’s guts after beating and slaying it with a wooden spike.

When the cavalry came, they cut into the deadly python and discovered a lifeless Siriati, which they retrieved and transported home before burial the following morning.

Following an inquiry, Siteba Village secretary Iyang found that the reptile murdered the mother at 7.30 a.m.

The 38-year-old stated, “The victim wanted to go out and get her child’s medicine. Her youngest son is three years old. She was visiting her brother and needed to pass through the woodland first.

“Her brother waited for a long time, but the victim did not arrive. That is why her brother contacted the victim’s spouse. The spouse stated that Suriati had left early in the morning.

“So the husband went looking for his wife, and he discovered her sandals on the road in the middle of the forest.” Given the presence of snake traces nearby, he assumed the snake had devoured them.

He went further: “This snake more or less dragged the victim five meters from the location.”

Walenrang Police Chief and Adjunct Police Commissioner Idul reported that they found the young mother’s body intact.

“The body was in good condition, but there may have been some bone-crushing,” he said. “The body has already arrived at the funeral home for a religious ceremony.”

Speaking of the markings on her leg, he said, “We believe it was a snake bite. The snake instantly wrapped itself around the victim’s leg after biting, paralyzing him.
