According to the Guinness Book of Records, Carmen Dell’Orefice is the model with the longest lifespan in the entire globe. We have been encouraged to believe by both the media and society that a woman is only attractive during the so-called “bloom of youth.” But as many women have taken it upon themselves to demonstrate, that could not be further from the truth.
Carmen Dell’Orefice, an American model who has lived for nine decades, is one of them. Although she started her modeling career as a teenager, she has never stopped posing for magazines and walking the runways. She now holds the global record for the longest modeling career.
But that’s not all; in 1946, when Carmen was only 15 years old, she also boasts the distinction of being the youngest woman to be featured on the cover of Vogue. She has also been highlighted in other well-known fashion publications, including Harper’s Bazaar and W Magazine, and she even served as the face of the renowned Chanel No 5 perfume.
But after posing for New You magazine, she lately become fashionable. The photo session is a part of an interview with models Carmen Dell’Orefice and Beverly Johnson, 69, who made history as the first black woman to grace the cover of Vogue in 1974, about “aging gracefully.”
Together, the two women posed as proof that beauty endures across all ages. A healthy diet and regular exercise are the keys to maintaining good health, as has often been noted.
She stated that as time never stands still and change is something we must accept daily, she suggests keeping things straightforward because “less is more in virtually everything in life, except in love.”
