Matthew Perry passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54. The official report cited multiple factors contributing to his death, but further details remain private.

The Friends cast has been keeping Perry’s legacy alive, with Kudrow recently revealing that she rediscovered a message he had written to her years ago.

As a parting gift, Perry gave Kudrow the ‘Cookie Time’ jar from the set, including a note inside, which she had forgotten about until recently.

Kudrow, while promoting her new Netflix comedy No Good Deed, shared the story on The Drew Barrymore Show. She said: “Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode. I recently discovered the message he had left in the jar for me.

“I hadn’t opened it or even glanced inside. But, yes, he did. He had a note inside, but I overlooked it.”

Kudrow chose not to disclose the contents of the message but noted that the rediscovery felt poignant. Barrymore added, “Timing is everything.”

Courteney Cox, who played Perry’s on-screen wife in Friends, has also shared her own reflections. She mentioned feeling his presence and expressed gratitude for the years they worked closely together.

Speaking on CBS News Sunday Morning, Cox said, “I’m really grateful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. I believe he still visits me.”

She elaborated on her beliefs, saying, “I communicate with my mother, father, and Matthew. I believe that many individuals are guiding us. I definitely sense that Matthew is around.”

Authorities have since launched an investigation into circumstances surrounding Perry’s passing. Legal proceedings are ongoing, with one individual pleading guilty to charges connected to the case.
