Woman with disabilities had city fines, so a guy does incredible work to make her home accessible…

A landscaper-turned-influencer who helps neighbors trim their lawns has earned over $380,000 for an elderly woman.

SB Mowing, a lawn care and power washing company located in Wichita, Kan., has received hundreds of thousands of likes on sites such as TikTok and YouTube. The films, created by Spencer (who prefers not to publish his last name online), demonstrate how the firm cuts grass in overgrown yards while also aiding local community members.

Many of SB Mowing’s films feature Spencer addressing his neighbors, who are frequently old or disabled and have struggled to care for their yards or houses, and offering them free upkeep.

Spencer published a video on the company’s TikTok on Friday, Jan. 9, which went on to become one of his most-viewed videos ever. In one, he converses with a woman named Beth, who shares that she has been unsuccessfully trying for a month to hire someone to help her cut her overgrown grass.

“I got a call from a friend in the city, and she told me that there is an elderly lady in desperate need of help,” Spencer wrote in a GoFundMe statement. “So I stopped by her house, and her lawn was getting CRAZY!”

“She’s been calling to get someone to repair it, but no one answers.” The city had given her a warning about her grass and was going to charge her $240 to cut it, which she couldn’t afford,” he said. “So I completely transformed her lawn for free, and she was in tears; she was so happy.”

The video, which has received almost 100 million views and 8 million likes since its release two days ago, features Beth saying to Spencer, “I’m sorry, it’s just a mess.”

Spencer then offers to clean up the yard and remove the overgrowth and weeds in her driveway, to which she says, “My prayers have been answered.”

By the end of the charming video, SB Mowing has cleaned up Beth’s whole yard, and she expresses her gratitude, saying, “Your work makes me twinkle.”

Even after cleaning up her yard, Spencer thought that yard labor was insufficient. Many readers commented on Beth’s apparent accessibility issues, pointing out that she needs a cane and must climb a stairway to enter her home.

“A lot of people want to donate to help her fix some of the accessibility issues around her home,” he stated on the GoFundMe page.

In another TikTok video broadcast on Sunday, Spencer said that he has started a GoFundMe campaign to seek funds to build a ramp and a new driveway for Beth, buy a chair lift for her basement, and have enough money to maintain her yard for the next few years. Spencer plans to use the remaining funds to repair numerous damaged windows and purchase a new bed.

“I really appreciate everyone who donates to help Beth out,” Spencer added. “I will use the funds to repair all the items listed above and address any additional accessibility difficulties that Beth may need.” I will give her some of the surplus money in cash and donate the remainder to local charities to help others in similar situations.

SB Mowing shared a video on TikTok where Spencer informs Beth that he and his fans are planning to raise money.

“Oh, my god,” she exclaims in the video, tearing up at the news before adding, “Why?”

“They fell for you and your tale. Spencer tells her, “We just wanted to come together as a community to help you out and get you to a better place.”

“Those are the things dreams are made of,” Beth says in the touching video.

As of Sunday, January 12, the GoFundMe campaign has received more than $380,000 in donations, exceeding its $100,000 target.
