Lindon Beckford has worked at a hospital for more than 30 years. His responsibilities include transporting patients from the surgery room to their wards. This may not appear to be a particularly important profession, but after hearing what this wonderful man does for the individuals he cares for, you will understand that he genuinely makes a difference in their hospital stay, making it as comfortable and serene as possible.

Because he understands that these patients may be anxious and fearful, he constantly goes above and beyond to help them feel better by making them smile.

He begins by introducing himself to the patients. “I’m Lindon, and I’ll be your chauffeur,” he says. He then begins doing what he enjoys and ensures his patients enjoy it as well. He sings for them. His wonderful act so affects many individuals that they can’t control their joy.

He has been providing this service to every patient for over 31 years, which may come as a surprise.

Singing came naturally to him when he first started working at the hospital, but he quickly noticed the effect it had on the terrified patients. They frequently begin to sing along, which is entertaining to hear and see.

They all feel honored and special. They find immense meaning in temporarily putting their problems out of their minds.
