Meet Michael Jackson’s son, Bigi Jackson, who has grown up

Michael Jackson made an indelible mark on the globe as an incomparable singer, songwriter, dancer, and entertainer; he really deserved the title “King of Pop.”

But MJ was also a family guy, and before his terrible death 11 years ago, he had three kids with two women throughout his career.

Bigi Jackson, his youngest son, will be 18 in 2020. He’s been quite active on several social media sites recently.

When you look at fresh photos of Michael’s third kid, you can’t help but see some resemblance to the iconic pop star…

In 1974, Michael Jackson met his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley. He was just 16 years old when he first met Lisa, and it was none other than Elvis Presley who introduced them at a hotel in Las Vegas.

Lisa was 6 years old at the time, but she was a major Jackson 5 fan. She was particularly fond of the young vocalist.

The pair would meet again 18 years later at a dinner organized by artist Brett Livingstone Strong. Soon after, the pair got fond of one another and began talking on the phone every day.

Michael and Lisa had many characteristics, including difficult interactions with the “real” world. Both had been shielded from the outer world as superstars since infancy.

Lisa was still married to actor Danny Keough, with whom she had two children, when she met Michael. But Michael and Lisa established a particular bond, and one day over the phone, Michael said, “If I asked you to marry me, would you do it?”

Lisa agreed and later divorced Danny. Michael and Lisa married just 20 days after their divorce was completed. The pair married in a ceremony in the Dominican Republic in 1994. One publication dubbed the wedding of these mega-celebrities “The Marriage of the Century.”

But their marriage quickly devolved into chaos. Lisa Marie was adamant about not having children with her spouse. She believed Michael was too immature to be a parent and saw no future with the American musician.

According to Lisa, Michael struggled with mature relationships and was “childish,” often acting childishly. Meanwhile, Michael allegedly desired to become a parent. He is believed to have told Lisa that she was not required to carry his children if she did not want to.

“My friend Debbie [Rowe] said she’d get pregnant and bear my child.” If you do not do it, she will. What do you think?” According to the book “Michael Jackson: The Magic and the Madness” by J. Randy Taraborrelli, Michael told her

Lisa allegedly said that she was OK with it. The couple divorced in 1996, although they dated on and off for another four years.

Debbie Rowe and Michael Jackson
Debbie Rowe was constantly there in the background throughout his marriage to Lisa Presley.

Michael and Debbie have a long history. Debbie met him in the mid-1980s while working as an assistant to the pop singer’s dermatologist. Debbie assisted Michael in managing his long-term skin ailment, vitiligo, for many years.

The two became extremely close friends, and ultimately more.

Michael and Debbie Jackson married in 1996, and two of Jackson’s three children were born as a result. Debbie gave birth to Michael Joseph “Prince” Jackson, Jr., in 1997. Paris, Michael Katherine Jackson, came a year later.

When it came to parenting, Michael and Debbie took an unusual approach.

Debbie served as a surrogate mother, while Michael preferred to raise the children on his own at the Neverland Ranch. Debbie only paid occasional visits to her children because she didn’t want to become too connected to them.

“I don’t want my kids to call me Mom because I don’t want them to.” They are Michael’s kids. Not because they aren’t my children, but because I wanted him to be a parent. People say things like, ‘I can’t believe she abandoned her children.’ What happened to them? I abandoned my children. I didn’t abandon my children. My children are with their father, as they should be. I didn’t do it because I wanted to be a mother. Debbie remarked in an interview with English journalist Martin Bashir, “If he called me tonight and said let’s have five more [children], I’d do it in a heartbeat.”

But it’s clear that the “deal” took its toll on her.

Debbie’s displeasure with the arrangement was finally shown when she filed for divorce in 1999. Debbie granted Michael full custody of her children throughout the divorce. However, the pair remained friends.

Michael Jackson’s eldest son
Michael Jackson’s third child was born in February 2002. The boy’s name was Prince Michael Jackson II, but he was immediately nicknamed “Blanket.” The term stemmed from the fact that Prince usually wore a blanket over his face when he was spotted in public.

According to Michael, there was also something attractive about the unusual moniker.

“A blanket is a blessing, a way of showing love and caring,” he once said.

“Blanket” became famous across the globe when Michael dangled him from a fourth-floor balcony railing at a Berlin hotel. Many others were surprised, saying Michael was putting his baby’s life in danger. Later, MJ would apologize for the incident, claiming that he was caught up in the moment.

Mother of Bigi Jackson
Michael’s third child’s mother is still unknown. Debbie Rowe was rumored to be Prince Michael II’s real mother; however, she has categorically refuted this. According to Michael, the baby was born by artificial insemination, and he said that he did not know the mother.

In 2015, “Blanket” said that he preferred the name Bigi instead. Bigi had been tormented for his nickname as a child, according to media sources, so this was a major stride for him.

When Bigi’s father died in June of 2009, he was just seven years old. The King of Pop died at his home after suffering a heart attack at the age of 50.

After his father’s tragic passing, Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson raised Bigi. TJ Jackson, Jackson’s nephew, also stepped in to help the family and the children.

Today is Biggie Jackson’s birthday.
Bigi seemed to have taken his father’s death extremely hard; it was difficult for him to understand that Michael was no longer alive. According to some stories, Bigi even stopped speaking for a short period of time.

However, Bigi seems to be doing well today.

Bigi Jackson now resides in Calabasas, California. According to accounts, he lives in a house in an elite gated neighborhood with celebrities such as Dr. Dre and John Travolta as neighbors.

The 18-year-old is concentrating on his education at Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. He also enjoys karate and spending time with his many relatives.

Bigi is currently under the care of his elder cousin, T.J. Jackson, as his grandma Katherine approaches the age of 91.

Bigi has often attempted to avoid the limelight. He does, however, sometimes appear at public gatherings. For example, when his elder brother Prince graduated from Loyola Marymount University in May 2019, you could spot him among the crowd.

Bigi has also started a YouTube channel with his brother, Prince Jackson. The channel is named “Film Family,” and the brothers evaluate numerous movies together. With just a few videos published, the channel now has 35,000 subscribers. So, will we be seeing more of Gigi in the future?

Bigi clearly acquired many of his father’s physical characteristics; they are very similar in many aspects.

When you see Bigi, you can’t help but think of Michael because of his beautiful black hair. Bigi also seems to have inherited his father’s passion for comic books and superheroes, as he is often spotted wearing t-shirts depicting Marvel’s Avengers characters.

We already know that growing up with a celebrity parent can be quite difficult. Bigi is most likely no exception. Remember, he had to go through a tough grief process in front of the whole world’s cameras.

But, based on what we know now, Bigi seems to love his life and performs normal adolescent activities, which is a positive indicator.
