The groom’s 3-year-old daughter leaves the most adorable message for him before walking down the aisle: ‘There wasn’t a dry eye in the house’

A guy was in tears after receiving a surprise message from his daughter on his wedding day.

The heartbreaking video of Elliot Gwilliam’s 3-year-old daughter, Evie, telling him, “You’re going to marry my mummy,” has gone viral on social media, with over 86 million views and 12 million likes on TikTok alone.

Owen Bloor of JOL Videography begins the movie with Elliot, 34, positioned at the altar inside the chapel at Hawkstone Hall Hotel & Gardens in Marchamley, England, on December 28. He was about to marry his 27-year-old fiancée, Emma Beddow, with whom he shares Evie.

Suddenly, Evie’s passionate voice message came over the public address system.

“Hello Daddy, it’s me, Evie,” the message begins. “I’m heading down the aisle and will see you now because you’re going to marry my mommy, and she’s stunning. “Like me.”

The statement immediately affected Gwilliam, who began smiling and shaking his head. “Nah,” he answers in surprise, before someone off-camera tosses him a tissue to wipe away the tears.

“We love you so much, to the moon and back,” Evie says. “I love you so much, like Jelly Tots. See you in a minute. I want to see you, but I don’t want to be you. See you, Alligator.”

The cameraman told the BBC that he “can’t believe how crazy” his moving video had gone viral.

He continued, noting that the bride came up with the idea just a few days before the wedding.

“He was emotional anyway, and it was such an amazing moment for us to be able to capture; it’s just fantastic,” Bloor joked.

The surprise speech was a success, as the groom subsequently stated that after hearing his daughter’s voice, he “just lost it.”

“It’s unreal,” Gwilliam stated of the situation. “We had been planning the wedding for almost 12 months. I didn’t feel nervous as I waited for Emma. I thought, ‘Nah, I’ve got this.

He continued, “Then I heard Evie’s voice, and I disappeared.” I don’t believe I was able to get myself together until Emma joined me.

“I did not stand a chance—but I wasn’t the only one,” he fondly remembered. “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, especially as Evie walked down the aisle as one of the flower girls.”She is a captivating figure who consistently challenges us.”

Online commenters expressed similar emotions, with many urging the newlyweds to play the film at Evie’s future wedding.

“Please play this song at her wedding before leaving a message about walking her down the aisle…” One commenter, who received almost 195,000 likes, expressed, “I cannot handle this.”

Another humorous comment with over 500,000 likes read, “The wife wasn’t taking any chances; she made sure that man would cry when she walked down the aisle.”
